Retiree coverage is available to eligible retirees who enrolled in the plan prior to retiring, and coverage amounts reduce based on age.

About the Plan
For active employees, Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance is 100% employee-paid and is available in increments of $25,000 up to a maximum of $150,000. You may also purchase coverage for your family as a percentage of your own coverage.
For retirees, Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance is 100% retiree-paid. Coverage is available in increments of $10,000 up to a maximum of $50,000.

Accidental Death and Dismemberment insurance is available to benefit-eligible faculty and staff. You may also purchase coverage for your family at a percentage of your own coverage.
Retiree coverage is available to eligible retirees who enrolled in the plan prior to retiring. Coverage amounts are reduced based upon age as of January 1 for the plan year. See "Reduction Amount for Retirees" section for additional information.
Coverage for dependents
Dependents may include:
- Spouse or Sponsored Adult Dependent of an employee
- A child of an employee who is younger than 26 years of age
- A child of an employee over the age of 26 who is mentally or physically incapable of self-sustaining employment and meets other plan requirements
- Child for whom health care coverage is required through a Qualified Medical Child Support Order or other court/administrative order.
