Get Involved

The Associated Students of the University of Missouri is constantly looking for new talent. The more people we have involved, the more likely we’ll be successful in our efforts to improve the college experience for Missouri’s students. There are multiple ways to get involved:

Legislative Intern Applications

Legislative Intern Applications opened September 30th and will be closing on November 8th at 11:59PM. The first round of interviews begin November 10th-16th, with system interviews being conducted between November 17th-23rd. There is a mandatory training session in Columbia from December 6th to the 7th.

To apply, please complete the application and submit it to asum@umsystem.edu.

If you have any questions, reach out to our executive director Ryan Highfill (ryan.highfil@mst.edu)

Chapter Involvement

If you’d like to get involved on a more local level, each chapter is brimming with opportunities to do so. Whether that’s helping to register students to vote, getting them to the polls, or bringing lawmakers to your campus while holding legislation days. There’s a wide variety of possible ways to get engaged.

For more information, contact your local campus’s director. Contact information for your chapter president as well as student representatives can be found on our ASUM leadership page.
