Meet Amaris Vazquez Collazo: A Mizzou sophomore who competed in this year's Paralympic Games in Paris and also served as Puerto Rico's flag bearer.

Micro research project earns major grant

Dr. Zhi Liang, an associate professor of mechanical and aerospace engineering at Missouri S&T, is studying microdroplets of fuel the size of a human hair follicle with a grant from the Air Force Office of Scientific Research.

UMKC students help build a robot to throw Royals first pitch

As part of UMKC’s partnership with the Kansas City Royals, UMKC computer science students helped middle schoolers from WeCode KC and KC STEM Alliance build a robot to throw the first pitch as a game.

UMSL alum named next Missouri Botanical Garden president

Lúcia G. Lohmann earned a PhD in biology with an emphasis in ecology, evolution and systematics from UMSL in 2003 and had support from the Whitney R. Harris World Ecology while pursuing her degree.
