WHAT: The University of Missouri System announces the dates, times and locations for two public forums designed to receive input from the general public and other stakeholders regarding the qualities desired in the next chancellor for the University of Missouri-Columbia. UM System President Tim Wolfe will host the forums, which will be open to both the public and news media, to allow stakeholders to provide input about the search for a new chancellor.
“The University of Missouri is one of our state’s greatest assets,” President Wolfe said. “Like the 21 leaders who have come before, the next chancellor must understand and respect this historic institution, its stakeholders and its role in Missouri, while leading the university to new heights of greatness. As president of the University of Missouri System, I am eager to hear Missourians’ thoughts on the qualities and characteristics they would like to see in the next MU chancellor.”
WHEN/WHERE: Public forums will be held at the following dates and times:
Monday, July 22, 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Jesse Hall Auditorium, University of Missouri-Columbia
Thursday, July 25, 10 a.m. - 11 a.m.
Jesse Wrench, Memorial Student Union, University of Missouri-Columbia
There will be media availability with President Wolfe following the town hall, and media members are asked to refrain from asking questions or making statements while the public forum is in session.
