Habib Hassan joined the Office of the General Counsel in 2024 and primarily represents the University in general contracts and other transactional matters. Before joining the office, Hassan was an associate attorney at a boutique transactional law firm in the Kansas City area, specializing in New Market Tax Credit and Renewable Energy Tax Credit transactions, and served as a law fellow with the Office of the General Counsel prior to private practice.
Hassan earned a J.D. from the University of Missouri School of Law, where he was an editor on the Missouri Law Review and was initiated into the Order of the Barristers. He received his undergraduate degree in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
