Rebecca Johnson may be the first Senior Executive Service (SES) civilian assigned to Fort Leonard Wood as the Deputy Commanding General, U.S. Army Maneuver Support Center, but she isn’t a stranger to the area, the post or the job’s requirements.
Johnson has worked in various assignments at the United States Army Maneuver Support Center (MANSCEN) and Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri since 1987. Her roots into the area are deeper than that. Finishing high school in Dixon after her father retired from the Navy, Johnson graduated from Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, Mo., before beginning her work for the Army. She holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Management from Missouri University of Science and Technology.
