Chapter 110: Use of Facilities and Equipment
110.015 Facilities Needs Funding and Reporting

The University of Missouri recognizes the value of its physical assets and the need to maintain these assets in a good state of repair. To assure these assets are properly maintained, by fiscal year 1997 and thereafter, each campus will annually budget and expend a minimum of 1.5% of the replacement value of its buildings (hereinafter "Funds") for on-going maintenance and repair (M&R), renewal, adaption to current standards, and modernization, including auxiliary supported facilities.
- Use of Funds -- Funds shall be used to prevent deterioration in facilities and facilities-related fixed equipment. Funds shall also be used to repair, replace or renovate facilities and facilities-related fixed equipment. Expenditures from Funds may include preventative maintenance, routine repair, major repair and replacement, and renovation to meet program modernization needs and changing standards. In addition, by fiscal year 1997 and thereafter, equipment expenditures shall be made annually at the rate of at least 10% of the cost of the current equipment inventory.
- Reporting -- Annually, each campus shall submit to the President the list of projects using Funds for the previous fiscal year and specifically identify the amount funded for preventative maintenance programs; each campus will also report the actual expenditures on equipment for the prior fiscal year.
