Laura A. Confer was student representative to the University of Missouri Board of Curators by Gov. Jay Nixon June 1, 2009, for a term ending January 1, 2010.

Representative Confer is an ex-officio member of the Academic, Student and External Affairs Committee of the Board of Curators.

Ms. Confer is a junior at Missouri University of Science and Technology majoring in mechanical engineering. She is a Missouri S&T PRO-Leader and a Campus Service Officer. She has served with Women As Global Leaders, as Governor of the Residential College Association and as vice president of Phi Eta Sigma.
