Meet Jessica Kueffer, a freshman at Mizzou majoring in agricultural journalism.
I am from California, Mo., and have had the privilege to grow up on the family farm and be involved with the agriculture industry my entire life. From the ages of eight to 18, I was a member of the Busy Bee 4-H group and as a freshman in high school I joined the California FFA Chapter. Throughout my years in high school I served in various officer positions and am currently serving as the Area 8 Missouri State FFA Vice President. Also while in high school I participated in various clubs, was part of the girl’s golf team, and the school newspaper.
As for my home life, my family and I reside on about 90 acres of land where we raise cow-calf pairs. We also work about 50 acres of wheat and soybeans. The family farm is really where my love for the agriculture industry began, and it is important to me that I stay connected with my roots.
My family consists of my parents, my younger brother, and myself. Family is very important to me and spending time with my large extended family is one of things I enjoy most when home on college breaks.
