Jeanne Cairns Sinquefield was appointed to the Board of Curator University of Missouri System by Governor Michael Parson in 2023.
Sinquefield retired as Executive Vice President and Head of Trading Dimensional Fund Advisors (1982-2005). Sinquefield was formerly on the faculty of the University of Chicago and the University of Indonesia (72-77), Research Director US Congress Select Committee on Population 1978, and designed the first Options on Futures Contracts for Chicago Board of Trade (1980-1982).
Since retiring, Sinquefield founded the Missouri New Music Initiative (2005-present), was Chairman of the Commission to Review the University of Missouri System (2016), and was on the State of Missouri Bicentennial Commission (2020-21), as well as Missouri 100.
Sinquefield is active in two BSA Councils (1986-present), earning two Silver Beavers. Sinquefield was inducted into the US Chess Hall of Fame (2022), and is President of the Foundation for Neurofeedback and Neuroscience (2000-present). Sinquefield's interests include inventing (1 patent), economic, philanthropy, and geospatial.
Sinquefield has three children who all went to MU, and four grandchildren.
